OEC also provides focused service for petroleum and production, while our field services, both on and offshore, include sampling, field testing, monitoring, and substance investigations.OEC had it's beginning in an industrial location in Santa Maria on Betteravia Avenue. With the equipment on hand, business grew exponentially to a successful state of the art Laboratory of today.

Oil, Gas and Produced Waters

California drilling operations and oil production are concentrated primarily in Kern County, San Joaquin Valley and the Los Angeles basin. There is also some offshore oil and gas production in California, but there is now a permanent moratorium on new offshore oil and gas leasing and new offshore platforms in both California and federal waters.
Forms and Guides

OEC provides the necessary guidelines and required forms to properly handle a clients request. The information can either be downloaded or by contacting OEC with your request. Before a sample is submitted, a COC is required. It documents and verifies custody, condition of sample, required information for logging in sample, and specific instructions for the analysis of the sample.
Support Services

OEC provides essential services for clients who require assistance or those that do not have the facility or manpower to properly handle the demands of sample handling. OEC offers a Courier Service at all three locations to ensure proper sample handling and client convenience. For client projects, OEC offers sampling and delivery services to the laboratory.
Regulation & Compliance

Quality service is OEC's top priority. The Quality Assurance Manual is updated regularly to ensure proper up-to-date protocols applied throughout our laboratory and services. 1. CHAIN OF CUSTODY: The client assumes all responsibility for the information as specified on the Chain of Custody (COC).
We will try to provide you the client the analysis you specify but, any and all questions resulting from ambiguity or incompleteness and timeliness of information on the COC are the responsibility of the client.Please, if you have questions call to confirm COC information. 2. QUOTE DURATION: All quotes are valid for 180 days from date of issue or the duration of the project.
