I am a fee-only, fiduciary, Certified Financial Planner practitioner and I help people plan for their future, protect their nest egg, reduce their tax liability, and avoid challenges. Having worked as a financial planner since 2012, I have advised clients ranging from business owners, medical professionals, retirees, and high net worth individuals.

My specialties include working with pre-retirees and retirees needing to turn their assets into a reliable stream of retirement income. My wife is a nurse at Rush University Medical center. Over the years, I have learned how to maximize her employee benefits while understanding the unique challenges people in her profession face.

Rescue bill what's inside

The $1.9 trillion bill called the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 includes stimulus checks, child tax credits, jobless help, vaccine-distribution money, healthcare subsidies, and aid for struggling restaurants. What's not inside? A higher minimum wage. More stimulus checks are coming: $1,400 checks could be hitting bank accounts and mailboxes this month, going out to adults, children, and adult dependents such as college students and elders.

According to the College Board, the most recently published figures of the average annual cost of tuition and fees at a public university for a school year was $9,139 for in-state students and $22,598 for out-of-state students. The average cost of a private university was much higher at $31,231.
