I like to shop locally and have used this Jewelry store for years. My husband bought me a fine watch for Christmas there. We could have ordered online, but we wanted to help our local community. I needed the watch band adjusted, so yesterday when I went into the store. Although there is a sign on the door that masks are required, none of the three employees were wearing a mask. I stood only at the entrance, waiting for them to comply. One still-unmasked employee came to help me and I backed up. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this business to anyone looking to get jewelry appraised or resized. I took my vintage engagement ring to be resized to a smaller size. The ring was taken down approximately 1/4 of a size. Within 2 weeks, the ring had completely split at the seam where they had mended it. My ring was in half. We took the ring back to Montgomery Jewelers to be repaired... The woman at the front of the store told us it may have broken because it was fake, and made the comment 3 or 4 times after examining the ring herself. I took my expensive brand new Rado watch (worth around $1200) to Montgomery's Jewelry store in Starkville, MS to get the band adjusted. The jeweler took a look at it. He was messing around with it for a while and eventually he told me that he was not able to figure it out. When I got home, I looked at my watch and I saw that the band was damaged.
