It doesn't hurt as such, it is more a sensation. I use the industry's most effective anesthetics which fully numbs the area 99.9% with no further discomfort. It's sometimes the sound of the blade which people find worse - a small scratching sound. Yes and no. Anesthetic is used to numb the skin before the procedure - the anesthetic is applied and left on the skin for 10 - 30 mins.
