Founded in 1973 by Mary-Ann Cataldo, our dance school has cultivated a legacy of excellence in dance education for five decades. We provide a nurturing environment where students from preschool to adulthood develop technical proficiency and life skills through ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary styles. Our instructors, including third-generation director Christina Aguis-Sefcik, combine 27+ years of professional experience with Florida Dance Masters certification to deliver personalized instruction.We emphasize community engagement through performances at local events, conventions, and annual recitals while maintaining rigorous technical standards. Our multi-level placement system ensures appropriate challenges for all skill levels, supported by small class sizes that maximize individual attention. Ballet Classes
Our ballet program develops foundational technique through structured lessons in classical positions, barre exercises, and fluid movement patterns. Students learn proper posture, grace, and precision while building strength and flexibility. Classes incorporate traditional methods passed down through three generations of instructors.
Dance Company
The MSD Elite Dance Company offers advanced training through conventions, community performances, and competition preparation. Members receive specialized coaching in all dance styles while developing stage presence and collaborative skills. Auditions ensure appropriate skill level placement for grades 6+ students.
Private Lessons
Customized instruction available in all dance styles with our director Christina Aguis-Sefcik. Sessions focus on individual technique improvement, competition preparation, or personal goal achievement through personalized choreography and targeted feedback. Available in 30 or 45-minute formats.
Studio Rentals
Flexible rental options available for dance rehearsals, birthday parties, and community events. Choose from three configurations including small studio access, large studio with lobby, or full facility rental. Reservations require advance booking and security deposit.
Dance Gear
Official dancewear and footwear available through our online boutique and onsite store. We stock approved leotards, tights, and shoes for all class styles while offering branded apparel and custom order options for special sizes.

Third-generation dance instructor with 27 years of experience, Florida Dance Masters certified, former River Ridge High School Dance Team member, and University of Central Florida journalism graduate. Directs all performances and choreography.
Mary-Ann Aguis
Teacher
Daughter of founder Mary-Ann Cataldo, certified Florida Dance Masters member, and experienced choreographer of recitals, community performances, and competition pieces. Teaches all studio dance styles with 30+ years of instructional experience.
Olivia Camarotti
Teacher
Studio alumna with 9 years of training, former FAME Academy member, and Flagler College graduate. Specializes in pre-ballet instruction and community performance choreography with professional convention experience.
Questions
What age requirements exist for dance classes?
We accept students starting at age 3 for ballet through adult classes. Specific styles have minimum age requirements: pointe (10+), hip-hop (5+), and dance company (grades 6+).
What dance styles do you offer?
We provide eight dance styles: ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, acrobatics, and musical theater. Students can also join our competitive dance company.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes! Students perform in annual recitals, community events, and conventions. The MSD Elite Dance Company travels to conventions and performs at local festivals and charity events.
What are class sizes?
We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention. Maximum student-teacher ratios vary by age group but typically range from 8-12 students per instructor.
What are the dress code requirements?
Standard attire includes leotards and tights for most styles. Specific requirements vary: ballet requires pink tights and slippers, tap needs tan shoes, and hip-hop requires white sneakers.
Do you offer summer programs?
Yes! We offer seasonal dance intensives and summer camps focusing on technique improvement, choreography, and performance preparation. Registration opens annually in spring.

Mary Ann handle my neice in the most unprofessional way. She is 3 in April and it was her very first class. My baby neice just wanted to dance and being in a new setting was all new to her. Instead of properly handing a child who is very excited and distracted or distracting.. she carried her out of the dance room and brought her to her parents and was told to come back in a year. My neice was apologizing and crying because she simply could not understand what she had done wrong. Mary Ann be lucky I was not there personally because it wouldn't have ended well. My 3 year old LOVES this dance class!! The teacher is really good with the kids, and pretty patient. Sometimes maybe a little too patient. Lol
I saw the review regarding the teacher handling the little girl unprofessionally. Im almost certain that I know which girl its regarding. I remember a little girl starting about the time that review was written. I was taken aback at how the girl did not listen nearly the entire class. What really shocked me was that the mother barely intervened. She just continued to let her continuously disrupt the class. There are kids that get distracted, that
