At Desert Forest, small select membership assures effortless, plentiful tee times on an uncrowded course imbued in the spectacular colors of the beautiful Sonoran Desert. Our clubhouse is comfortable and cozy, and members are a diverse group representing many professions and age groups, creating a relaxed and unpretentious environment.

IN 1962, Desert Forest's bold new design transformed the face of golf in the american southwest. Many consider our acclaimed Robert "Red" Lawrence design to be the first desert course ever built. Lawrence was a founding member and president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. Red Lawrence made history when he broke ground at Desert Forest.
Walk

The Desert Forest course is routed through what many consider to be the most scenic part of the Sonoran Desert. With mild changes in elevations and short distances from greens to tees, golfers of all ages regularly walk the course. Electric walking carts and easy-to-handle push carts are available for everyone, and arrangements for caddies can be made one week in advance of tee time.
