From the beginning. The idea to form a golf & country club in Western Loudoun County began in 1926. Inspired by a visit to either a resort in California, or Ashville, NC (reports vary), two Purcellville natives- Mr & Mrs Clarence Robey- returned home convinced that this was the perfect location for such a recreational outlet.
