When Leora Fike met Carl Hoffman on a blind date in 1928, she never imagined that it would be the foundation of a concrete relationship. She was a nursing student at Conemaugh School of Nursing on Franklin Street in Johnstown, so the young couple walked to Luebies Confectionery, which was just down the block, to have an ice cream soda.
Said the woman who would late marry Hoffman and found Fi-Hoff Concrete Products, the long established, family-owned Johnstown area business. She looked me straight in the eye, said, "If we did, I wouldn't tell you" and erupted into laughter. Mrs. Hoffman, a well-groomed woman who stands about 5 feet 2 inches, exhibits an endearing sense of humor and a can-do attitude.

Named for its founders, Carl "Huffy" Hoffman and Leora (Fike) Hoffman, Fi-Hoff Concrete Products was founded in 1946 in order to meet the demands of the housing market in Johnstown, PA at the time. Alot of World War II Veterans were finding their way to the Pennsylvania town in order to gain employment in the booming steel mills.

At 8 height per step, we go up to 6 steps high. We offer 3', 4', 5' & 6' foot wide units. Each step has a tread depth of 12", we can produce a platform unit, where the top step can be extended up to 48" deep.

Fi-Hoff Concrete customers know they can expect prompt delivery of standard or specialized mixes with the newest components available such as fibers, Butterfield Color and chemical additives. Our mixers haul anywhere from 1 to 10 cubic yards of concrete per load, and we can even go into yard increments.
