If you haven't been in lately, we have remodeled! 2020 was an interesting year and it taught us a lot of things, most importantly just keep moving forward. We have expanded into an adjacent space and expanded our Market selections. We have a larger Beer & Wine Shop and will be working on adding in more Snacks and Grab & Go options.
We made all of our inside items available online. You can order any sandwich/salad, coffee, smoothie, beer, wine, retail item (snacks & bottled drinks) and even growlers on-line! Waveriders Coffee and Deli is located on the Bypass, in the Pirate's Quay shopping center (look for the big propeller) at milepost 11 1/4 in Nags Head, NC. We are located within walking distance to the Bonnett Street beach access! Place your order online and just jump in, grab your goods from the online order pick-up area and enjoy your day at the beach.

We stopped here this morning for a quick breakfast on our first morning in OBX and oh my goodness, soooo good. I had the breakfast bowl with a peppermint bark iced latte. I want to have the bowl every morning forever and it was one of the best lattes I've EVER had!! The customer service was amazing!! We're from CT and can't get over the prices, so inexpensive. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone!!!!

Bottom Line: One of my favorite stops in Nags Head given the friendly service, delicious sandwiches and tasty coffee.
I'm hooked on Waverider's Coffee, Deli and Pub - so much that I even recently bought some of their merch which I very seldom do. Waveriders is located at MP 11.25 in the Pirate's Quay shopping center on the bypass and sells awesome coffee drinks, breakfast and lunch sandwiches and beer. They have indoor and outdoor seating and fairly recently expanded to have a small bottle shop next door.

Super efficent online ordering. Food was ready for pickup 15 minuted later. My tree hugger sandwich was delicious, kids loved their sausage/egg sandies, husband loved the gluten free bread/bagel options.
Two thumbs up as well on the smoothies and lattes (and also the peanut butter brownies if we are being honest).

Our favorite local coffee shop and breakfast place. We come so often i'm surprised they don't know my order already! Welcoming ambience, friendly staff, clean restrooms, games for kids, delicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
My husband loves the Ben and my favorite is the Bud. Go-to latte is an Iced Caramel Macchiato.

Delicious breakfast sandwiches & coffee! My husband got the Hank and I got the Sunrise with ham. Both extremely delicious! We also got the cold brew coffee and it was so good! *chef’s kiss* I loved the outdoor seating area (which is where we sat). They do have some tables in the shade on the side of the building if you prefer that. I have a feeling we’ll be going back before we go home. ♥️

The food here was great, the drinks were decent, the customer service, however, was horrible. The girl who took our order was sweet, but I don't think she heard me say I wanted a vanilla latte. No big deal - I went to the front to ask for some extra syrup. An older woman came to the register this time and when I asked for it she immediately began looking through her computer to make sure I did indeed order a vanilla latte. When she couldn't find it she told me I needed to tell them before so they could charge me for it, I offered to pay for the extra syrup and that I had mentioned I wanted

Whenever someone new to the Outer Banks asks me where they should stop for a bite to eat or coffee on their visit, Waveriders is always at the top of my list.
The sandwiches- both breakfast and lunch- are delicious, they make a mean oat and honey latte, and the owners and staff are GOOD people. People who constantly give back to their community.
They have also handled the pandemic with grace and ingenuity, quickly turning their windows into order/pick up windows, utilizing their already great online ordering system, and setting up plenty of outdoor seating. AND they have a great little fenced

We came here this morning and had some amazing coffee and breakfast! They have a really wonderful setup for COVID, with a window to order at and a pickup window once your order is ready. They text you when you can pick up the order, so you can wait in your car or by the outside seating in the meantime.
They're right off of Croatian highway so it's not exactly the most beachy/remote setting, but they have decorated their seating area so nicely that you could easily forget the cars driving nearby on a pleasant weather day.
The staff is so friendly and helpful and I can't recommend

It blows my mind that this place doesn't have more 5 star reviews. The iced lattes and breakfast sandwiches were amazing. I got the "customer favorite" Eddie V sandwich which is also vegetarian, it was amazing!!!! My iced vanilla latte with almond milk was better than Starbucks. I will definitely come back when I'm in town. Due to the pandemic they installed order and pickup windows which is very convenient including lots of cute outdoor seating. The wait was up to 30min which was long but it was WELL worth it.

As a vegan on vacation, I am usually the one who picks the restaurants we visit. I found Waveriders last summer while on the search for a good bagel sandwich and we were not disappointed! They also now have a vegan cashew spread for your bagel!
I grabbed an almond milk decaf latte and a prepackaged vegan brownie with my bagel. My sister got the Eddie V and a café au lait with vanilla. Our drinks were so good! The Eddie V is the perfect breakfast sandwich, she says. The cashew spread was surprisingly sweet and tasted just like ground up cashews (shocker). Next time I will probably get the sandwich

This place was a nice little surprise! We rolled up and picked up our orders quickly. The online ordering system is convenient and easy.
The breakfast sandwiches we ordered were nicely constructed and tasted great. I believe they offer lunch sandwiches too! Coffee was good and I appreciated that they had alternative milks.
This place was busy on a Saturday morning and we were glad we visited!!

Best breakfast sandwiches! We ordered the sweet and salty and Ben breakfast sandwiches. They were out of pepper jack cheese so we got the chipotle Gouda instead and it was amazing! The bagels were soft and service was fast. Staff was very friendly. Everyone was wearing masks, very considerate!
I also got the caramel almond turtle iced coffee with almond milk. Not too sweet and not too creamy. Perfect morning coffee to go with my breakfast sandwich.
