Expungement
Report
The American Bar Association defines expungement as, the process by which a record of criminal conviction is destroyed or sealed from state or federal record. An expungement order directs the court to treat the criminal conviction as if it had never occurred. For a misdemeanor or Class D felonies reduced to a misdemeanor, you may petition the court for an expungement five years after conviction.
