I am dual board certified in general psychiatry, and in child & adolescent psychiatry. To verify my (or any other psychiatrist's) certification status, you can use the website of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). ABPN is the entity that board certifies psychiatrists.

A board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist is someone who has completed a minimum of five years of additional training in psychiatry after receiving a Doctor of Medicine degree.This includes training specific to treating children and adolescents, and allows the physician to be eligible to take the relevant board exams.

If you are a prospective patient, I offer a 15 minute phone appointment free of charge to determine whether I am an appropriate psychiatrist for you or your dependent. Please be aware that I do not currently treat schizophrenia. For patients where it can be deemed medically necessary, I also offer pharmacogenetic testing.

I've frequently seen insurance have negative affects on patient care, and have experienced these effects firsthand. Before getting into the list of reasons I do not accept insurance, I want to be clear that I do not ask patients to see me more frequently than what I believe to be necessary, so the financial impact from my treatment plans may be lower than you expect.

Please note: I do not employ office staff, therefore, if you call while I am with a patient or on another call, you will reach my voicemail. Please leave a message and I will return your call by the end of the day. If there is a specific time that is best for you, please mention that and I will do my best to call at that time if I am not with a patient.

I may send you an invitation to Elation Passport (my secure patient portal) for ongoing communications. Once we determine that we are a good fit for each other, I will advise you on the next steps (either via the portal, or over the phone if preferred).
