Dr. Bautista was born in Manila, Philippines, and was raised in suburban New York City, where he eventually did his surgical training. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics, magna cum laude, from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Dr. Bautista received his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1986.
