No Slack! Sportfishing Charters
Our most popular fishing excursion is for striped bass, or stripers as they are commonly called here in Maine. Stripers are the premiere light tackle and fly fishing saltwater inshore gamefish of Maine and New England. During the months of May through September we are obsessed with chasing these awesome fighting fish by boat and shore.

We fish hard, we have fun and we want to share with you the Maine fishing adventure of a lifetime! We target trophy stripers in our nearshore waters utilizing different fishing methods depending on the tides and seasonal bait in the water. Trophy stripers in Portland can reach lengths of 3-4 feet and weights upwards of 20-30lbs.

Family Fishing Trips for Mackerel and Pollock
Report
We'll anchor up in a calm area in the bay and drop some chum in the water to attract the feisty Atlantic Mackerel. Mackerel run in large schools and sometimes you can reel up several on the line at once! Mackerel fishing is fun for the whole family. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the excitement.
Harbor Tours
Report
This 90 minute trip has it all! Enjoy close up looks at Fort Gorges, Cow Island, the Diamond Islands and Diamond Cove. We'll also stop at Pocahontas Light, the smallest lighthouse registered with the U.S. Coast Guard. Be on the lookout above as we frequently see osprey and bald eagles on this trip.
Preparing for your fishing trip
Report
We suggest you bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, camera, hat, snacks, plenty of water and a fleece and/or a light jacket. Captain Carle will touch base with you the evening before your trip to review the weather and marine forecasts and make any additional suggestions on what to bring and what to be prepared for on your ocean fishing adventure.
