Since 1978, as others closed their doors to those without private health insurance, we have continued to open ours. From a single clinic we have now expanded into a network of health care facilities along the I-70 corridor from Parachute to Avon, and along the Roaring Fork Valley to Basalt. As a nonprofit, community-led, Federally Qualified Health Center system, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, integrated health care for all.
We firmly believe health care is a basic human right, not a privilege. Our system integrates medical, dental and behavioral care - a necessary measure for the vulnerable, who often show up in our clinics with medical problems related to poor teeth, substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety and other complicated combinations.

Services
Dental
Report
Mountain Family works hard to increase the availability of dental care in our region. We offer full-service dentistry at our Rifle clinic and our Mobile Dental Van in El Jebel, as well as preventive care at our SMILES Dental Project locations. To further increase access to care, in 2018 we will expand our Basalt clinic to include full-service dentistry.
Behavioral

Mountain Family's licensed professional therapists and licensed addiction counselors offer a wide range of mental health and substance use disorder therapies, along with counseling for psychological, social, marriage and family challenges. Our therapists are part of your care team, working closely with medical providers to improve your total health.

Low Cost Medications
Report
Another way Mountain Family Health Centers cares for you and your family is by decreasing your total cost of health care. One way we do this is by participating in the federal government's Section 340B phamaceutical pricing program (regulated by the Public Health Service Act 42 U.S.C. 256b).
As a federally qualified health center (FQHC), Mountain Family is eligible to access medications and pharmaceuticals at reduced prices, thereby stretching our care dollars further.Mountain Family also contracts with several local pharmacies as part of this program. These include City Market (Kroger), Safeway(Eagle County only) and Walmart.
