Ruggie and Carole Van Muijen are residents of Danville, and Ruggie grew up in the Bay Area. He has been in the restaurant industry for 44 years, 35 of those with his own business in the local area, and Carole has taught cooking at Monte Vista High School for the past decade. The Growler has evolved over the years from starting out as a craft beer focused bar, to becoming a neighborhood restaurant & pub with a cozy, familiar feel.
Located just off the Iron Horse Trail, we are a favorite with cyclists, walkers, families and dog owners looking for a place to sit down and enjoy a cold beer, cocktail, and some delicious food from our diverse menu.
