As a first generation American born to Greek parents, Maria is no stranger to the notion of working hard to achieve your goals. As a young girl, she knew that one day she'd open her own hair salon and it wasn't a matter of if, but when. Whether it was giving her Barbie a haircut, or doing her friends' hair for proms, it was evident that working with hair wasn't just a pastime - it was a passion.
