Services
TMS Therapy
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive, FDA-approved treatment for major depression. This non-drug therapy uses magnetic pulses to stimulate brain neurons affecting mood. Patients remain awake during 37-minute sessions, typically attending daily treatments Monday-Friday for 6-9 weeks. Our experienced team includes certified Magstim technicians who guide patients through the process from insurance verification to personalized treatment.
Spravato Treatment
Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray treats major depressive disorder and treatment-resistant depression under medical supervision. Patients receive twice-weekly treatments for four weeks, then weekly sessions for four weeks. Our staff monitors vital signs during two-hour observation periods. This FDA-approved treatment works through NMDA receptor antagonism and requires concurrent oral antidepressants. We help patients navigate insurance coverage for this innovative therapy.
Medication Management
Our board-certified psychiatrists provide comprehensive medication management for mental health conditions. We specialize in optimizing medication selection and dosages for bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and depression. Initial evaluations determine if symptoms stem from physical illness, mental health issues, or both. Our approach combines medication with other therapies to create personalized treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients.
Telepsychiatry
We offer telehealth appointments for psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care. Patients can schedule virtual visits using compatible browsers and receive treatment from home. Our telepsychiatry services maintain the same quality standards as in-person visits, with secure technology protecting patient privacy. This option improves access for patients in Lees Summit and surrounding areas.
Psychiatric Evaluations
Our psychiatrists conduct thorough initial evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and develop treatment plans. We assess patients for depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and ADHD using evidence-based methods. Evaluations determine whether symptoms result from physical illness, mental health issues, or combined factors. Our team provides second opinions and specialized assessments for complex cases.

My Doc is phenomenal, I love Erick Brown! However, I have had issues with my prescriptions and I am not able to get in touch with a nurse or have my calls returned. I have had to email the receptionist more than once because I am out of my rx needed for my mental health and it takes days before a problem is resolved. I wish I didn't have to email the receptionist about my medication and there was more organization! Will consider a diff practice unfortunately.

I give this place 0 stars. Dr. Mays assistant is awful! I was on a telehealth conference call for 6 hours waiting for the doctor and he never showed. I assumed it was some type of glitch in the system. So I sent a detailed email explaining when I got on when I sent messages to the physician telling him I was still there. She implied I was a liar, telling me the doctor can see everything and I didnt do any of the things I said I did. It has been a month since my phone conversation with her and I am still extremely frustrated by the lack of professionalism she displayed and just how rude she

Terrible and unprofessional, left on hold constantly, can even make an appointment and when I did I never got confirmation and I called the day before to see where I was going because it used to be online and the phone line was down. They told me that the phone line was down and that I wouldnt be charged for the missed appointment. Then I was charged for the appointment and served a termination notice. I am in desperate need of medication that I can no longer receive. I have no clue how any of these people got their license.

I hope you don't need help right away. Staff is rude. You can't talk to a person. Drs only use telehealth. I had an telehealth appointment and wanted for the Dr to come on for 15 minutes. I tried 3 times to find out what happened and no one would answer me.

Dr. Brown is great. The 1 star is for the fact that there's absolutely no way of getting a live person on the phone and I have made 3 phone calls and left messages in voicemail for his attendant, I have emailed and DM their Facebook with no response. That's very dangerous for patients especially considering this line of healthcare and medications.

I want to say that this is one of the most inconsiderate and uncaring staff. Their lack of effort in any type of communication or to even help you in general is insulting. I sincerely can not believe that this practice treats patients with so little compassion or pride for work. In short do not go they are terrible.
