Tek-Chic Systems
My name is Laurie Scott and my company is Tek-Chic Systems. I specialize in serving the small business person and individual computer user in Austin, Texas. It doesn't matter if your office is at home or in a commercial building, your needs are the same as anyone working for a large company. You want your computers and network to perform reliably and the information to be secure.

It's difficult to list prices in my business because "it depends" is often the answer when you call with a problem. If anyone does post prices for a service, then you can usually bet you're paying the high-end of the scale (they're not going to do a difficult job for cheap.) I try to be as fair and reasonable as possible.

I have clients all over the United States, from California to Florida from Texas to Michigan as well as in Ireland, the Netherlands and in Africa (technology makes that possible - my gas mileage isn't THAT good nor my car that fast!) The majority of my clients are right here in the metro Austin area, so basically if you live inside that red circle, I'll come to you.

Thanks for the Fix-Up-a seemingly miraculous rescue from the edge of disaster. Also, as usual, my favorite part of Laurie's visit is learning via the discussions during the in-home install and "road testing" portion of the service. I spent another couple of hours re-writing my notes from the visit to capture and preserve some of her pearls of knowledge.

I hate it when I get a phone call from someone who had their computer either stolen or had their hard drive die, and then I have to ask the question - the question that I PRAY they will say "yes" to. And that question is "do you have a backup of your data?" And when they say "no" I just cringe. Because I KNOW that's all they care about at this moment - "how do I get my data back?"
