Keys Driving School is located in Grand Haven, and provides drivers training in west Michigan. Our classes are taught by the Keys Driving Team. We have each completed the State of Michigan training classes and exams to receive instructor licenses. We offer our students professional and individualized instruction with many years of combined teaching experience.

Classroom lessons focus on the rules of the road, legal licensing requirements and safety obligations of the driver. Through class discussion, lecture, quizzes and videos, students prepare to become safe and responsible drivers. They learn analytical defensive driving techniques and are taught to recognize potential hazards in their own and others driving including weather, ice, aggressive drivers, driver fatigue and drug and alcohol use.

Adult Drivers
Report
Keys Instructors also drive with adult drivers who are learning for the first time or want to refresh their skills in preparation for an upcoming road test. We can give you initial instruction in one of our vehicles equipped with the passenger side instructor brake. This is a low stress, no yelling, very patient environment you would hope for.
MI Graduated Licensing
Report
Michigan has instituted a graduated driver education system for drivers aged 14 years and 8 months up to 18 years of age. This licensing system has been credited with greatly decreasing teen driver deaths and accidents in the first two years of driving. Many insurance companies offer lower premiums for teens who have successfully completed an accredited driver education program.
