We use only 100% cotton sheets, towels, and other linens and dry them in the sun on the clothesline out back. We appreciate guests who appreciate historic hotels. If you're interested in outdoor activities or local music, we'll be happy to provide suggestions from our more than 20 years' experience in the area. While there are 3 motels on the highway, we're the only hotel in Calico Rock and the only downtown lodging overlooking the river.
Services
Built in 1923, the River View Hotel is situated on the bluff overlooking the beautiful White River one block from historic downtown Calico Rock, Arkansas. The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In the railroad era, each train stop boasted at least one hotel near the depot and convenient to passengers who were on foot.

Very pleasant stay at the Riverview Hotel! (We stayed in September, 2016 - this is an edited review for clarity on a sentence). The hosts, Linda and Mark, we're very gracious and hospitable. The room was very clean. It is like stepping back in time coming to this hotel. You won't find the latest furnishings with typical hotel bedspreads and such. Instead it is furnished with antiques and simple furniture that would have likely been found in the hotel in the mid-century period, complete with chenille bedspreads like my grandmother had. We were traveling through Calico Rock and were trying to find the public restrooms. The hosts were playing bocce ball in the front yard and offered to allow us to use their facilities. We fell in LOVE with the hotel and promised to visit there next Spring. The hotel was closed for the season however, it was clean and accommodating with everything in order. I believe the hosts are going to be what makes our trip with them next year very special
