Fall of 2020 I took my small 4hp 4 stroke 2010 Yamaha outboard motor to get work on. Needed a replacement part because the motor would not start. Anyways, the motor now idles way to high and that can cause issues when shifting forwards or backwards. I had to wait over 6 weeks for the job to get finished and it still had issues with the motor right when I got it.

I was having problems with the engine 'overheating' on my Tri-toon. I reached out to DT's Marine based upon a couple of recommendations I had received from my neighborhood friends.
I called their office and spoke to the Supervisor (Donna), who was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about their company and my specific engine problems.
Although their shop had a very busy workload, they were able to 'work me into the schedule' this week. Thank You!
Their technicians were very thorough and they analyzed the engine in a very systematic way. Making sure the engine was 'healthy' and

I am a first time boat owner and was extremely hesitant about taking my boat somewhere to be worked on after hearing the horror stories about cost and time. I contacted DT Marine and explained the issues I was having and the parts I had already replaced and they told me they were backed up about two weeks which I expected since boating season is in. I dropped off the boat and explained what I thought may be the issue, and to give me a call if they stumble upon anything else.

I really wanna say nice things. The mechanic went way outta his way. But honestly I felt like me and my $80 reason to be there wasn't worth her time.
And because of her shortness I ended up getting the wrong size fuel line.
I Was told to figure out the size I needed and then come to there. My who reason for calling was for their expertise.
But I did the best I could with 0 Knowledge...and my day ruined for it. I thought I needed 3/8. Cause I didn't know there was a fitting on the motor for a connector. The fitting was 3/8. The hose is 5/16. I know now.
I figured out that most small out boards

Since i am not able to give zero stars, i had to put 1. lesson learned do not use DT marine in Cameron to work on your boat. We took it there for a seal to be fixed, tune up and a few minor things. $1400 later and we have a cracked manifold, de-winter rised boat, motor cover has a piece of interior broken off and they told me they would clean it up which was not done.. yes I have a detailed bill of what was done. We put the boat in water for first time over weekend to find a plug wire not connected and the shifter cable was not adjusted correctly. The boat would not shift from drive or reverse

This place is great! They work hard and care about their customers. My boat is brand new and I took it to the dealer 3 times and finally gave up. They had it fixed first try and within the time they quoted me. It probably would have been done faster but I was waiting for a part they needed to arrive! Definitely a local business I recommend supporting.

You cant go wrong with this place. The people are great, the service is fantastic, and they are willing to take that extra step to really help you out. I have not been around the area for the longest time, but being someone who loves being on the water almost as much as being in it. They truly are a place i can count on.

I had my 1999 Johnson outboard engine rebuilt And within a couple months have had to replace the power head gasket at an additional cost of $500.00+ DT’s told me it was not under warranty. I have previously had work done on my 1997 ski boat as well I used DT’s for the last few years. I think Donny getting involved in the moving business has had a detrimental effect on the marine business. I used to send people to DT’s for service but I won’t any longer

The team is great. They have helped me tremendously. I'm a first time boat owner and they are always willing to help or just answer questions. Was recommended to them by a other repair facility that said they would not work on older boats. It really worked out for me. I also like spending money with people who appreciate it. I went to DT's Marine when my boats engine alarm went off. I called several Marine shops near my location "White Lake"NC" and after speaking with a friend, called DT's Marine. I spoke with personnel and after speaking with them and them talking about the potential problems I realized that I needed to make the drive over 1.5 hours away for them to work on my boat. The people here are GREAT. When I dropped my boat off on a Thursday, personnel said they were almost 2 weeks behind.
