El Continental was one of if not the first shops in all of Arizona to do men's hairstyling in the way we think of it today. In 1958, Edmond "Pop" Roffler brought advanced European haircutting methods to America, and translated them to fit American taste and style. Before that scissoring and clipper cuts dominated the landscape - crew cuts and flattops and the like.

We offer precision hair styling, facials, straight-razor shaves, manicures, and pedicures from a staff with decades of experience. The texture, the density, and the growth patterns are unique in every person. All of these factors need to be considered individually. Too many times, we've seen the art of barbering reduced to the number on an electric trimmer - "3 on the side, 5 on the top."

El Continental Barber Shop has some of the most experienced haircutters, manicurists/pedicurists, barbers, and colorists in Tucson. Our average employee turnover rate is 20 years, and most of the employees have done a quarter million haircuts or more. Dale is the owner of our shop and is a Master Barber Stylist, with a real Passion for the Art and Science of his craft with over 50 years experience.
