About Us

Our mission as a non-profit organization is to provide local students with affordable tutoring and help Northwestern tutors turn their expertise into income. All profits go straight back into our Learning Center on Sherman Ave. We're also constantly seeking ways to give back to the North Shore community - in the past, we've set up free drop-in tutoring sessions and free SAT/ACT classes for Evanston public school students.

Private Tutoring is our primary offering. Our experienced tutors work with students of all ages, either in-person in the Evanston area or online over Zoom. Our tutors have helped over 1,000 students break down complex concepts, work through challenging assignments, prepare for final exams, and master standardized testing.

Our tutor hiring process is extremely rigorous, leaving us with some of the most outstanding students at Northwestern. Academically, our tutors excelled in high school, averaging a 35 on the ACT, and continue to impress at NU, with 90% of them making the Dean's list. Outside of academics, our tutors are also very impressive; some of our past tutors have gone on to work at places like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and the Boston Consulting Group.

We accept applications only from current Northwestern undergraduate and graduate students. Our interview process is rigorous, and we accept fewer than 10% of applicants each year. While all our tutors have high GPAs and standardized test scores, we understand that not all strong students are great tutors.
