Up North Gift Company was established in 1999 by Jerry and Kathy Groff. The inspiration and creativity that began this unique little shop was passed on to Pat and Janet Lipzinski in August of 2018 and they continue to make top quality handmade candles, rustic home goods, and local apparel. We are located in beautiful downtown Bitely, Michigan and all of our products are made responsibly right here in the USA.

Our goal is to have a complete Michigan-made inventory in the near future!

About the Goods

Lois uses her energy and talents to make quilts for the homeless through her church quilting group, Rose Garden Quilters in Fremont, Michigan. She lives here in Bitely, and also makes an assortment of knitted and stitched items that we carry in the store. Lois donates the proceeds of her items, and is always accepting donated fabric, batting, and assistance.

Always stop here when I go north. You will find local items. Weekends you even get bake goodies here. The owners are so nice! Dont forget to sign the guest book when u are there. I always find it interesting to look and see where everyone is from.

Yesterday, I stopped in to buy cherry salsa and was so excited to also get two cinnamon rolls. I have read the reviews on them and they didn’t disappoint. The icing was so creamy and delicious. I will definitely be back for more.

I LOVE this store! A trip up to the cottage is not complete without stopping in here at least a couple times. Every year I buy a sweatshirt, votive candles, earrings and hand cream. And sometimes a home decor item or a unique gift for a friend. I like that every year there are new t shirt & sweatshirt designs available. The owner is super nice and friendly. Definitely one of my favorite places to go in the summer! I wish I lived closer so I could shop there year round!

The woman who was working was so friendly. I purchased the most adorable fishing t shirt for my nephew. I also purchased a container of citrus scented hand lotion made from goats milk. It works really well and my nephew loves his shirt! So happy we stopped here!
