Althea makes it a priority to ensure all patients are receiving the best preventive care both in the office and at home. In her spare time, Althea stays busy taking care of her two daughters. She graduated from Wytheville Community College in 2013 after working in the medical field since 2000. She also holds a B. S. in Human Relations and Business.

Invisalign(R) allows each patient to view their individualized virtual treatment plan enabling each step of the treatment and the final result to be seen prior to the start of orthodontic treatment.Each aligner is removable and worn for about two weeks before being replaced with the next one in the series, moving your teeth little by little until they have reached their final positions.

Sensitivity to temperature or pain while chewing can be a sign of tooth decay. After an X-Ray is taken to determine where the decay is located on the tooth, the decay is removed from the tooth and restored with either amalgam or composite filling. At Cook Family Dentistry, we offer both amalgam (silver) and composite (tooth colored) restorations.
