Some companies act as "middle men" for private tutors. Sometimes you go to their facility. Sometimes you meet the tutor at a coffee shop; sometimes the tutor even comes to your home. These companies offer little or no training; they often won't let you interview the actual tutor you'll be paying for; and they charge a fortune because they have to get their "cut".
And most people who do private tutoring do it as a side job. It's not their passion. It's a little extra money to put in their vacation fund. It might seem the cheaper way to go, but at $75 an hour and up, it doesn't take long before you've spent over a thousand dollars. At College Quest, ACT and SAT prep is all we do!

About
Report
College Quest opened in 1994. Today, we can boast that we've helped thousands of students over the past two decades, including many high school counselors' own kids! In addition to offering classes at our center in Bloomfield Hills, we also conduct many classes at area high schools, including University Liggett, Regina, Notre Dame Prep, Farmington Mercy, University of Detroit, and Lutheran Northwest.
Services & Schedules
Report
This course consists of 12 sessions, each 2 hours long (except where noted). Since the content of both tests is similar, this course reviews concepts students consistently see on both the SAT and ACT and how these concepts are tested. We do strongly believe that ACT scores are easier to raise than SAT scores, so for that reason we use ACT tests in class.
Benefits

Prep Course Tips
Report
If you believe that your son or daughter would benefit from a prep class, consider what constitutes a good course. Is it a guarantee that promises an increase of x number of points? Of course, it's impossible to guarantee anyone any score on these tests! All the guarantee is really stating is what they'll do if you're not happy with your test scores.
