Book a Private Event for 6-24 area lumberjacks, (friends, family, co-workers) 24+ people give us a call! During the first 30 minutes, we coach your group to properly (and safely) throw axes like a lumberjack. Tournament: Go head-to-head with your friends until one of you emerges as the biggest bad axe.
We provide mobile axe throwing with our safe, contained, caged and portable throwing lanes. We staff your event and teach you how to chuck some axes -- and be a lumberjack (not really)!. Hold axe outward in front of you with the blade as straight as possible in relation to the target. Right handed throwers should put their left foot forward.

LumberjAxes is Pittsburgh's first competitive axe throwing venue. Yes, competitive axe-throwing is a thing. It's huge in Canada. Adults of all skill levels can try their hand at axe throwing at any of our locations: Cranberry, Millvale, Monroeville and Mt. Lebanon. You and your friends, coworkers, wedding party, or knitting club get a lane and take turns throwing at a target.
League

Axe throwing is an individual sport, not a team sport. If you had a team in mind, you, your friends and/or colleagues should each sign up individually to take part in the league on the same night of the week. You'll all get to throw together but also with and against other league members. League members are welcome to bring beer/wine and any food to Lumberjaxes.

Lumberjaxes is currently looking to hire outgoing, energetic, and most importantly responsible axe throwing coaches! The coach responsibilities will be, but not limited to, facilitating a friendly and safe environment, teaching proper safety techniques, and ultimately making this one kick ass experience for the customer.

For obvious reasons, we can't let you throw axes in open-toed shoes or sandals. Aside from that, just wear something that's comfortable and gives you a good range of motion. Yup, before all events and sessions, our axe throwing experts will teach you some basic technique, as well as some important safety rules.
