PELA has been rated by Colorado Shines, the state's quality rating and improvement system for early care and learning programs. This month our staff is integrating a variety of fun, hands-on activities to honor Hispanic Heritage Month and teach the students about the diverse cultures that make up the American Latino community.
Early math skills are the strongest predictor of later school success. Simple activities like counting and playing with puzzles can build children's STEM skills. We have been at the school for nearly a year and the new owner has done a very nice job updating the equipment and freshening the building.

The STEM program embodies and incorporates our mission and the core values of early childhood education. The STEM room focuses on providing children a strong foundation for exploring academic subjects and for self- learning. The early childhood years, birth to age 5, have long been accepted as the most critical point in neurological or brain development.
