Welcome to the Winery at the Long Shot Farm, an idyllic place just north of Carlisle, PA. The Winery and tasting room are housed in a remodeled historic barn, surrounded by vineyards, a large pond and an amazing view of Blue Mountain. We invite you to stop by and sample our wines, made from grapes grown right here in the Cumberland Valley, one of the American Viticulture Areas.
We also offer wine slushies and a selection of cheeses, meats, crackers and chips. We believe that "Wine is Made in the Vineyard", and that high quality grapes are the first step toward making great wine. Our vineyards are located in the Cumberland Valley viticulture area and currently include the hybrid varieties' Vidal Blanc, Corot Noir, Chambourcin, Traminette and Chardonel and the American varieties Concord and Niagara.

Like the debutante at her own ball exhibiting her virtue, this is a crisp off-dry wine, showcasing a pure white grape profile with a lemon finish. With a clean crisp acidity, slightly chilled this wine puts forth a peachy semi-sweet palate, with hints of melon. Summer blend incorporates our Vidal Blanc grapes with locally grown apples.
Rosé Wines
Report
This blend of Chambourcin Rose and Vidal acts as the cousin to the Rose, the one you want to spend the reunion with. Drier, lively, a bit of a lemony acidic bite, but with the strawberry flavors still coming through.
As the crisp, brisk breeze of the arid Rocky Mountain top suggests a barren peak, the cherry and strawberry fruit flavors and lemony finish in Desert Rose will leave you just as astonished as finding that the dry frontier is a beautiful, bountiful elk country out west.If you know to hunt for it. This dry wine with its rosy color pairs well with sharp cheese and smoked pork.

Red Wines

Chambourcin and Blackberry, which is the bow, which is the arrow? One builds the foundation with a dark dried cherry profile, the other enlivens the wine with a shot of summer jam. A dangerous combination. Fletching refers collectively to the vanes attached to the end of an arrow. Traditionally, three such fin-shaped feathers made the arrow fly straight and true, if attached by a skilled fletcher.
