Baker Steel Company was established in 1940 by Homer C. Baker, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Homer Baker was not only an outstanding engineer, but also a skilled welder and steel fabricator. He learned this trade in Stuttgart, Arkansas from his father, Homer C. Baker Sr., who operated a welding shop there for many years.
Rolling

Baker Steel Company, Inc. utilizes a number of different sizes of Roundo and Buffalo angle rolls in order to roll various size angles. Our rolled angles are often used for platform bases, flanges, and other structural supports for construction applications. We can also bend and roll plate for specialty applications such as tanks and manway openings.
Forming
Report
Baker Steel Company, Inc. can bend plates into angle shapes up to 24' in length. With an added benefit, we can shear plates into strips for bending up to 20' in length. Bending angles from plate is often used when odd size angles are called out for a job or uneven leg angles are not made in certain grades.
