Toccoa Valley Campgrounds
As a young boy, Herman Long would walk along the property of what is now Toccoa Valley Campground and would dream of one day owning the property. In 1942 Herman and Lois were married and purchased the property that he had dreamed of as a young boy. In the 1950's Herman took a job with the United States Forest Service.

Herman was in charge of building recreation areas and campgrounds in the Blue Ridge area such as Morganton Point and Lakewood Landing as well as others. It was during this time that Herman began to envision building his own private campground. Come and visit us - whether to tent camp, park your RV or float the river on one of our tubes, rafts or kayaks!

The Toccoa River flows into Blue Ridge Lake, and once inside Tennessee it becomes the Ocoee River, home to the 1996 Olympic White Water Events.
