Dr. Torie's Dental Shoppe is a premier "Green Dental Practice" in Northwest Indiana. We strive to use eco-friendly and practices in as many ways that we can. For example, our cotton products and patient bibs made from biodegradable materials.
It is our goal to reduce the amount of disposables we generate in a clinical day by finding innovative ways to conserve materials and utilizing alternatives that can be sterilized such as glass dishes, metal impression trays and digital x-rays.We are also proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available.

Dr. Viktoria "Torie" Cox certainly brings a refreshing artistic flare to dentistry. It is apparent that she puts so much love into her practice from the comfort of the waiting room, to the warmth and genuine kindness she shows each and every patient. Dr. Torie truly treats the "whole person". Dr. Torie is a Munster High School graduate.
Meet Stormy

Stormy Garber is Dr. Torie's Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). Stormy earned her certificate in Dental Assisting from Everest College and received her EFDA Certification through Dr. Williamson's program in 2011. Stormy is Dr. Torie's right-hand gal during all of her dental procedures. She loves being a part of the restorative team and working along side Dr. Torie to improve patients' smiles.
Sensitive teeth often come from the fact that your gums have slightly receded. This recession of the gum line allows the underlying dentin to show through which allows water and food easier access to the sensitive nerve. To manage this, there are a number of toothpastes, gels and even some dental procedures that can be applied.
Post-Op Instructions

It is important to follow instructions after you have oral surgery to ensure proper healing and to avoid complications. As a rule of thumb, you should always wait two hours after surgery before eating to let the anesthesia wear off. Trying to eat before this could result in soft tissue damage because you are not able to feel all of your mouth.
