Originally from Brazil, Indiana, she attended Indiana State University and earned a degree in Biology before attending Indiana University for Optometry school. While attending IU, she developed and fostered special interest in pediatrics, vision therapy, and neuro-optometry. In her final year of school, she earned the 2019 COVD Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy.
After Optometry school, she began practicing optometry in the greater Indianapolis area providing primary eye care for patients 6 months and older, and vision therapy. Dr. Sutherlin is looking forward to serving the Columbus community and supporting local business. Outside of work, she is most often found spending quality time with her dogs and loved ones.

New protocols have been established in order to keep you, other patients, and the staff at Columbus Optical safe. The forms can be accessed below (you will need to select your Optometrist to access the forms), or can be mailed to you upon request. We will be utilizing a CALL TO CHECK IN. Once your check in has been received, a staff member will come out to collect your paperwork and initiate your visit.
