With a truly customized education, diverse learners in Grades 1-12 thrive at The Jones-Gordon School! JGS is a college preparatory private school serving elementary, middle, and high school students in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The majority of our 160 students have been diagnosed with dyslexia or other learning difference, but with proper intervention, have been able to achieve their academic (& life!) goals.

As one of only eight private schools in the U.S. and the only Wilson Partner in the Southwest, JGS delivers valuable professional learning to educators throughout Arizona and nationwide. Specifically designed for students with reading and other language-based disorders such as dyslexia, WRS is an intensive, structured, multisensory program for students who have been unable to learn to read and spell with other teaching strategies.

Valley parents have many choices for educating their children: parochial schools, public and charter schools, homeschooling, online learning-even schools who specialize in teaching students with learning difficulties.

We are the ONLY school, however, that combines these essential components for effective learning and student success: 1) multisensory, research-based curriculum and experiential learning; 2) 10 or fewer kids in core classes; 3) an included, daily FLEX hour for remediation, acceleration, or enrichment in the lower and middle schools (optional in high school); 4) a small, family-like, positive, and encouraging learning atmosphere; and 5) highly-skilled teachers and administrators who are passionate about education and who understand how kids-especially those with learning differences-learn!

The Jones-Gordon School is proud to have earned accreditation through Cognia, (formerly known as AdvancED Performance Accreditation). In addition, JGS is an approved private day school through the Arizona Department of Education, registered with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and is a College Board secondary institution member.

The JGS campus houses large, comfortable interiors; a student union; sports courts, an expansive field, and multiple covered play areas; indoor and outdoor lunch and learning spaces; a "makerspace" where kids can create anything they can imagine; and our four-legged and slithering critter friends-all on one warm, inviting campus-providing an environment that fosters a close-knit community.
