In the State of Michigan "Direct access" was passed in 2014 for physical therapy which allows people in the state of Michigan to be seen directly by a physical therapist for 21 days or 10 visits prior to needing a referral from a physician. In other words, you do not need a referral from your doctor to begin physical therapy, just give us a call and we'll get started!

Rehab Specialists opened in 2013 right here in Portage, Michigan. John and Andy, the owners, have dedicated their careers to helping people get back to normal naturally- that is without pain medications, surgery or injections. Rehab Specialists is a private PT owned clinic that specializes in one-on-one Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.

Telehealth uses electronic communication to remotely provide health care information and services. We offer this to our patients. There is a combination of clinical, technical, and financial considerations that determine if telehealth is right for you. Rehab Specialists also offer free virtual consults.

Rehab Specialists has two entrances. Our main entrance is off of Milham Avenue and shares a drive with the Hickner Eye Center. The other entrance is off of Oakland Drive and is the entrance for Berkshire Hathaway- pull into the drive and go straight back through the parking lot until the drive curves to the right and take the curve into our parking lot.
