Pelvic Exams | PAPs
Report
An annual exam is an important component of maintaining good health, for women of every age. Catching minor health issues early with yearly screenings can help prevent serious, long-term medical issues down the road. Unfortunately, many women dread their regular pelvic exam and put it off, due to bad experiences in the past.
Abnormal PAP Tests
Report
If your PAP test results were abnormal, Dr. Rees may perform a procedure called a "colposcopy". This is a type of imaging that enables your OBGYN to closely examine the tissue in the cervix, vagina and vulva. During a colposcopy, a special, small lighted instrument called a colposcope returns images on a computer screen, where they can be magnified and examined.
Heavy Bleeding
Report
When a woman's menstrual periods are so heavy, long, or painful that they interfere with her life and normal activities, it is called menorrhagia. Excessive menstrual bleeding may also be accompanied by severe cramping, pelvic pain and anemia. The caring all-female staff at OBGYN Specialists of Columbus understands how difficult, disruptive and painful excessive menstrual periods can be.

Love Love Love Dr Rees. She delivered my first baby via C-section. It was my first child, I was scared to death but it went smoothly with Dr. Rees. I also have a continuing problem that keeps occuring... its an abscess that has to be drained..... Dr. Rees is the only doctor i can call and she right away knows the pain and meets me at her office to start the procedure! She is definitely experienced and good at whatever she does. Yes, you will wait quite a while when visiting her office but she is worth it.
