As I've been having a bit of a nightmare experience opening a home equity line with another local bank with...erm, national reach (you can probably figure out which one if you live here), I just get constantly reminded of how good MVSB/MV Coop has been over the years. Friendly, highly competent service, local attention, in all phases of my dealing with them--at *every* branch. My entire family has accounts with MVSB and my primary mortgage is with them. Smooth sailing, very personable and efficient treatment, all the way.

So normally I just go here for money business because it's a bank, but today when I went in to deposit some cash, they had FREE CHOWDER because they were doing a customer appreciation thing. And let me tell you, do I feel appreciated! And also full of chowder!

Great local bank. Friendly staff and eager to assist with your business. I like the Edgartown location best only because it not as crowded as the other branches but parking during summer hours can be tricky.
