Dr. Stan Herman began practicing pediatric dentistry in Indianapolis in 1961, while also teaching part time at Indiana University School of Dentistry. After a gas leak explosion condemned his office, Dr. Herman began searching for the perfect community to rebuild and expand his practice. He decided to move to our current location at 6211 W. 30th St. in the growing town of Speedway in 1976.

According to the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the definition of someone who may have special health care needs is someone with any physical, developmental, mental, sensory, behavioral, cognitive, or emotional impairment or limiting condition that requires medical management, health care intervention, and/or use of specialized services or programs.

Mild pain, swelling and bleeding are normal following a dental extraction for 48-72 hrs. If any of these symptoms persist or are inhibiting normal function, please call for an evaluation. Mild swelling around the injection site or extraction socket can be aided by cold compression for 15 min intervals.
