Dr. Silva specializes in image-guided regenerative injection therapies such as Prolotherapy, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Bone Marrow Concentrate Cellular Therapy (using ultrasound and fluoroscopy) to address common musculoskeletal complaints such as chronic neck pain, back pain, joint pain, and hypermobility. Otono Silva, M.D., founder of Interventional Orthopedics of Washington, is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship-trained in Interventional Orthopedics.
He is a true believer in the power of the advanced non-surgical cellular medicine techniques he offers at his clinic, and he optimizes his own joint health following the same protocols he recommends to patients so that he may continue to participate in his favorite land and water activities in the PNW for many years to come.

Mission
Report
Interventional pain, orthopedics, and sports medicine protocols and practices are commonly centered around therapies that treat symptoms, not the underlying cause of disease. Traditionally, pain is managed with the use of anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs), pain medications, repeat high-dose cortisone injections, nerve ablations, or invasive surgeries.
For Providers
Report
Are you a wellness provider such as a Primary Care Physician, Naturopathic Physician, Chiropractor, Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist? Do you utilize natural, holistic or functional medicine methodologies in your practice? Do you have patients suffering from unresolved or chronic pain issues, or patients wondering if their best option truly is to manage chronic pain with medications or unwanted surgery?
Research
Report
Medical technology is constantly evolving, so it is essential that doctors use the most current peer-reviewed data to back clinical reasoning. There are many therapies available to patients, and doctors often have different perspectives and practice different protocols. We encourage our patients to do their own research, but sometimes it's hard to find a trustworthy source of accurate information.
