Southern Missouri Truck Driving School offers training to men and women seeking a career in the transportation industry. Students learn truck driving skills through classroom instruction and hands-on experience at the school located on the Malden Industrial Park in Malden, Missouri.

The curriculum at Southern Missouri Truck Driving School includes both classroom and hands-on training behind the wheel of a tractor trailer. Upon graduation, students will know the language and the law of truck driving and will have the skills to become a professional driver. SMTDS instructors are qualified and experienced in the transportation industry.
Tuition

There are separate fees required to meet Department of Transportation regulations for OTR drivers. DOT Physical and Drug Screen: $120 *DOT physical/drug screen fees apply if student chooses to use SMTDS physician. CDL License: $77.00 *This price subject to change by Department of Revenue. Note: If a student requires extra time for training, it will be granted for one (1) additional week at no extra charge.

Our goal is to see our students graduate with the abilities to handle a tractor trailer safely, skillfully, with confidence and the right attitude, and to be a productive driver for the nation's trucking industry.

Students at Southern Missouri Truck Driving School are taught by experienced instructors who never have more than eight students in the classroom. The SMTDS classroom is well lighted and ventilated with over 400 square feet of space and fixtures are designed so that students are comfortable. Visual aides are also used for showing videos of truck driving safety and training.
