Winterization

Water expands when it freezes, so not properly winterizing your engine can lead to a cracked block, necessitating engine replacement. Even a short freeze can cause expanding ice to crack a manifold. To circulate antifreeze through the engine, if the boat is in the water, close the intake seacock.
