Filipino Martial Arts

Presas Arnis is a martial art of the Philippines. It emphasizes traditional single and double stick techniques, as well as empty hand techniques. It's origins draw from Filipino tribal conflicts, as well as being influenced by Spanish fencing, Malaysian Silat, and other arts.

From tribal warfare through the Spanish occupation, up to World War II, Filipino Martial Arts have been used in numerous situations throughout history to protect homes and families in the Philippines.Today, its methods are useful when defending against more practical everyday situations.

MSD Kenpo Karate is amazing. Classes are upbeat, engaging and expertly led. This is a highly effective martial art style with practical applications. My son had pervious training elsewhere. Moving to MSD is the best decision I made to allow him to be his best. The school is the best equipped I’ve seen. Students learn self-confidence and responsibility. This is what we want our children learning. You will better yourself here regardless if you’re a beginner or a black belt. I have been a member of the adult class for over 2 years now, I absolutely love it. I love learning Kenpo, it has made me much more confident in my every day life. I love my instructor Rob, he is very patient, organized, he explains things well, he is very good at what he does, and he has a true passion for Kenpo. My son is a very nervous child and has a difficult time focusing. I brought him to MSD Kenpo for a trial class thinking he may not respond well to it. I wanted to mention that Rob G. was very east to talk to and was able to educate me quickly as to the advantages of Kenpo Karate. I am interested in including my teenage daughter in these lessons so she can learn self defense techniques alongside me.

I was looking for a place for my 6yr old daughter to go have fun and learn martial arts. I found MSD Kenpo Karate after searching on line and decided to check it out. I was impressed on how clean the gym was and how Mr. Guida took the time to explain to me the differences in martial arts (tae kwon doe, karate, etc), pricing (very reasonable), training schedules, etc. Very informative with no high pressure sales! Highly recommend!!
