Come to Wilderness Campground where Life-Long Memories have been made for over 40 years! Located in south central Wisconsin, in Marquette County just south of Montello, this pristine vacation spot is less than two hours from Southern Wisconsin cities and Northern Illinois, and only 25 miles from the world famous Wisconsin Dells.

With free WiFi Hotspots available at both our store and out on the Deck, you and your family can stay as connected as you want to be during your Montello, Wisconsin camping vacation! Pets are people too! We love it when our guests bring their furry family members, and our on-site dog park is the perfect place for them to wag, sniff, and run to their heart's content!

Campsite is assigned to one family (2 adults, dependent children) one camping unit per site. Maximum of 2 vehicles on site. Motorcycles, golf carts, ATVs/UTVS, etc are not allowed to drive through the campground at any time. There is a motorcycle parking and specific campsites motorcycles are allowed at (please ask at time of reservation).

Wilderness Campground is the greatest place to camp! We weekend camped here for about 8 years, then we were seasonal campers for 10 years. Now we are back to weekend camping and find ourselves returning to Wilderness the most because it is the best in our opinion. There are many planned activities to get involved in if you like that or you can kick back, relax and do your own camping thing, whatever is to your liking.

Spring-fed Hidden Lake is quiet and serene and offers boat rentals as well! Serious anglers will love the Northern, Large Mouth Bass, Crappies, Blue Gills, and Sunfish found in the waters (no live bait besides worms; license required).
Bonnie Lake is another spring-fed oasis that's perfect for our many boat rentals, swimming, and more great fishing (Stocked with Large Mouth Bass, Crappies, Blue Gills, Perch, and Sunfish; no live bait besides worms; license required).There's always plenty of fun happening at the swimming pond! From the sandy beach to the awesome water toys, you just won't be able to keep the family away from the water!
