Premium Wines Crafted with Tradition in Alta Loma
At Rancho de Philo, we take pride in crafting exceptional wines rooted in tradition and family heritage. Established in 1974 by Philo Biane, our winery continues a legacy that dates back to 1832, when our family first began cultivating Mission grapes in California. Over the decades, we have expanded our portfolio to include varietals like Viognier and Petite Sirah, sourced from renowned Lodi vineyards, while maintaining our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. As a family-operated business, we prioritize hands-on care in every bottle, ensuring our wines reflect both our history and evolving innovation. Our annual wine sales event, held each November, has become a cherished tradition for our loyal customers, offering a unique opportunity to experience our limited-release offerings. This is definitely our favorite locally made Cream Sherry!!this makes a great gift but it seems to have an awfully high evaporation factor around our house :-)

Super friendly family making super local wine using the old world "solera" method of sherry making. They only open for a couple of weeks in fall to sell the current vintage and some older. When you go, it is easier to park on the street if there is a crowd, but they have handicap parking up the driveway.

Great for holiday gift giving - and save a bottle or two for yourself. Even people who say they don't like Sherry love this one. Bring a cart to haul out your purchases!

I'm not a wine drinker, but I visited recently and the group I was with raved about the sherry that was sampled. This place has an interesting back story and is run by very nice people, Allen and Janine. If you're a wine lover, put this on your list of places to go.
