Your Premier Vermont Vineyard & Distillery Experience
Founded in 1996, Snow Farm began as a vision to preserve Vermont's agricultural heritage by transforming retired dairy farmland into a thriving vineyard. Located on South Hero Island in Lake Champlain, our microclimate mirrors Burgundy, France, enabling us to cultivate cool-climate vinifera grapes like Seyval Blanc and Riesling. Our award-winning wines and small-batch spirits reflect decades of viticultural expertise and a commitment to sustainable farming. As a family-run operation, we blend tradition with innovation, offering immersive experiences from vineyard tours to weddings and events. Our distillery, established in 2015, expands this legacy by crafting spirits from estate-grown ingredients, including maple and wild juniper. With over 25 years of experience, we prioritize community engagement, land conservation, and creating approachable, high-quality products. Our team of seasoned professionals, including winemaker Patrick Barrelet, brings global expertise and local passion to every bottle. We maintain rigorous quality standards through hands-on production and seasonal harvests, ensuring each product embodies Vermont's terroir. Our dedication to transparency and customer education is evident in our tasting room interactions, wine club programs, and educational events. By supporting Snow Farm, customers contribute to preserving Vermont's working landscapes for future generations.

Nice destination if you're biking on the causeway trail. Wine we had was typical ma and pa vineyard fare, but the view from the patio makes that wine taste great!

What a cute little vineyard to do some wine tasting. The view was beautiful and the staff was friendly. Was just visiting Vermont, but if I return this is a must stop location. Their ice wine is AMAZING.

Lovely facility, beautiful location, helpful and pleasant staff, wide selection of snacks, etc. My partner and I shared a tasting flight of red wines, intending to each purchase and enjoy a glass of our favorite. Alas, none were to our taste. Maybe the whites are better? Maybe some of them would be better after cellaring? It's hard do make a good wine on the East Coast. Still, we enjoyed the respite on cycle tour.

Beautiful winery with very friendly staff. There were 3 tasting areas - we chose the patio because it was a beautiful day. The wines were great - took home a souvenir glass and a bottle of the Rose Red.

One of the best experiences at a New England vineyard; and for no outstanding reason. It was just effortless, not rushed, great wines (especially the whites, all aged in Stainless) and a multi-faceted venue that can provide a great experience to varied tastes. We had a tasting and then finished with a glass of our favorite white with cheese and crackers. Perfect late summer day, great attendants and an exquisite selection of wines. Will be back with friends!
