Crystal Lake Dental is small family owned dental practice based out of Leander since 2014. We treat all of our patients like our friends and neighbors by taking time educating you. We will review your dental x-rays with you, explain why you need certain treatment and what happens if you don't take care of it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hsu for several years now and am very happy with his care and compassion. He always remembers me and we have a good visit while he does my cleanings. It takes four additional years after college or university to complete dental school and obtain your doctorate in dental surgery or medicine. DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) and DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry or Doctor of Dental Medicine) are the same degrees. It's simply up to the universities to determine what degree is awarded, but both degrees use the same curriculum requirements.

As dentists and hygienists, we use powerful dental microscopes to carefully check each surface of every tooth to ensure that they are clean and cavity free!

Cavities comes in all sizes and its useful to categorize them as such. On a scale of 1 to 10, a one would be a tooth that has some visible staining in the grooves or a discolored patch on your tooth that you might see if you haven't been brushing well or after you take your braces off. At this point you likely won't have any symptoms and many dentists would recommend a watch and observe.
