Anterior Hip Replacement
Anterior hip replacement is a minimally invasive procedure accessing the hip joint from the front. This technique preserves muscles and tendons, enabling faster recovery and reduced postoperative pain. Ideal for patients with severe arthritis or hip damage, it offers improved mobility and long-term joint function.
Hip Arthroscopy
Hip arthroscopy uses small incisions and specialized instruments to diagnose and treat joint issues. This procedure addresses labral tears, impingement, and cartilage damage with minimal tissue disruption. Patients benefit from shorter recovery times and reduced scarring compared to traditional open surgery.
Periacetabular Osteotomy
Periacetabular osteotomy repositions the hip socket to treat developmental dysplasia. This procedure preserves the native joint and delays arthritis onset. It is ideal for younger patients seeking to maintain hip function and avoid early replacement.
Revision Hip Replacement
Revision hip replacement corrects failed primary hip implants through component replacement. This complex procedure addresses loosening, instability, or wear in previously replaced joints. Advanced techniques restore function and longevity for patients with compromised hip prosthetics.
Hip Preservation
Hip preservation techniques delay or prevent total hip replacement through targeted interventions. Procedures include osteotomies, labral repairs, and cartilage restoration to maintain natural joint function. This approach benefits active patients seeking long-term mobility solutions.

Dr Mast and his team are the BEST. After meeting with several surgeons I opted to have Dr Mast do my hip replacement and it was the best decision I could have made. I felt totally supported throughout the entire process – from initial consult to post surgery follow up. He and his team patiently answered ALL my questions so I knew exactly what to… expect. I received incredible care at the surgery center and went home the same day. Since then, my recovery has been incredibly easy and pain free – I was walking unassisted within a week and back to almost all my activities within

TL:DR If you need hip surgery - Dr Mast is your guy
When I figured out the only fix for my problematic hip was surgery - I was completely terrified. My way of dealing with the fear is to be as well informed as possible, so I set about doing a LOT of research. First I figured out that I wanted my replacement done via the anterior approach - it was a no-brainer for me selecting an option that does not cut some of the strongest muscles in my body. Then I went about finding my surgeon. I compiled my shortlist and met with them- and Dr Mast stood out from all of them. First of all he clearly has

My mother-in-law was experiencing hip pain. At times it was so intense she couldn't sleep. Dr. Mast was extremely helpful and kind in diagnosing the problem, explaining it and treating it.

I walked into surgery with Dr. Mast four years ago a healthy happy person with a hip that one day would need surgery and some occasional pain in that hip. I walked out of the hospital a cripple. From the moment I woke up from the surgery, I have not had one pain free moment. I know now this will not change, and I will be experiencing this pain for the rest of my life. I will never be able to bike ride again, or do any of the myriad physical activities I used to enjoy. My podiatrist told me that the operated leg is an inch longer than my other leg, and this has now begun to create difficulties

Saw Dr. Mast for a second opinion. He was very thorough. Didn't rush me. Answered all my questions. Gave me time to formulate new ones. Reviewed my films and explained clearly what he was looking at so I could follow along. Glad I found him. Highly recommend.
