The Dish Cafe
Our concept was created by a group of partners who wanted to offer healthy food choices to a community that's quickly discovering the health benefits of natural and whole ingredients. We purchase our beef from Swift Level Farm in Lewisburg. Swift Level steers are farm raised and live on an all grass diet.

They process in a USDA, Animal Welfare Approved facility and dry age for 45 days. Our producers restore the land, not deplete it and support family farms as a way of life in our region. Your purchase keeps the dollars and the food system local. Thank you for supporting a traditional farm. This is Paul Almond, THE master Culinary Guru.

We absolutely love the food and atmosphere at this restaurant. It's not too loud and overly crowded. The food is fresh and tastes great. We ordered bar drinks which were very good too. Zero complaints.
(Minor irritation was an upcharge when we asked for extra ranch dressing)
100% recommend this.

This was our first visit to this place. You may have to wait a bit to be seated if they are busy, but the rest is worth the wait. Our server was very attentive and answered all of our questions. The inside has a nice atmosphere. Much of the food is locally sourced, which I like since it helps local companies and farmers. We ordered two appetizers. The pretzels and pimento dip / firecracker shrimp. Both were very good. For our entrees we tried the Hey Jack Burger and the Blackbean burger again both were very flavorful and cooked well. For dessert we had the brownie and the Toffee bread pudding.

The Dish was recommended to me by a friend about a year ago and to this date I have yet to find a place in the area that I enjoy more. The food is fantastic, they have some great local beers on tap, the staff is absolutely awesome and I love the menu. There are places near that have more notoriety, but this place is a hidden gem. You will not regret spending an evening at The Dish.

Ordered the Thai Peanut Chicken lettuce warps for appetizer it was some sort of mush in a bowl I would not have feed to my dog. For main course got the Chicken parm with side salad. The salad was basically greens some small onion slivers 3 tiny slices of tomato very disappointing. The Chincken Parm was average at best Chicken was burnt on bottom marinara sauce was so thick it looked like tomatoe chunk noodles was best part. Over all was really disappointing considering the reviews on this place I would not ever return rather have fast food!!!

Great experience! We came a year ago on a ski trip and went twice because their service and food was so good! We came back again this year and it was equally great! Their employees are extremely friendly and accommodating and there’s nothing on the menu that we haven’t loved! We will be back! Thank you guys for offering a great place to have a family dinner after a day on the slopes!

This was a wonderful discovery and pleasant diversion from the mundane fast food and pizza joints that litter the area. I am so glad I found it!
The staff were courteous and helpful and the food - amazing! I think The Dish Cafe makes the best Mac 'n Cheese ever! (Really!) The falafel pita also rocked!
If you are able, support this wonderful little establishment! I doubt you will be disappointed.

Great food, good atmosphere. This is a farm-to-table type place. They are very accommodating and go the extra mile to make your meal special. You can taste the care that was poured onto your dish. Great little place, it's definitely something you should try.

Very slow service stood at door for 15 minutes while they were trying to get a table cleaned. Although there were open tables in the area. Steak was amazing just the smallest thing I have ever seen. Also with this place having burgers and sandwiches why do they not also have leaded mashed potatoes? The baked potato was fine just not for the 32 dollars for the 8 once steak. Also something needs to be done with door I understand this was a shopping plaza but some kind of wind break would be great. Make a secondary entrance that doesn't face the wind might help. I was told that this place was

Best food and greatest service I've had in a long time. From the hostess, to the waiter, to the chefs, to the manager; they all went above and beyond to make sure our experience was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My friend and I had a lovely lunch at The Dish Cafe! The menu was very well organized and descriptive, denoting gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan dishes! They had everything from a delicious falafel salad (what I had) to a delicious sounding New York Strip! Don’t get me started on the tomato soup of the day! It was SO tasty! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The fall-themed cocktails sounded delicious though we didn’t try them. I highly recommend visiting.

Stopped in for lunch on a road trip. We were seated immediately. Waitress was nice and quick to respond to requests. Sweet tea & sweet potato fries were delish. Everyone liked their food and we had enough left over for another meal.

What a pleasant surprise! After a day of traveling we really enjoyed The Dish Café.

We started with the fried pickles. We've had fried pickles in the past but these were the best we've ever had. Homemade and you can still taste the tang in the pickle, so good.

Next, we both ordered the black bean burger. It was fine. I thought it a bit to mushy for my liking. However, as a side dish I had the homemade macaroni and cheese. Again, it's the BEST mac and cheese I've ever had. Our super server, Dom, shared that their mac and cheese was voted best in WV. Totally believe it and

Stopped here to enjoy my wife's 50th Birthday celebration with family as we were staying locally for the weekend. Always like to try new spots and it's even better when it's fresh and local.

Grilled firecracker shrimp was an excellent start to the meal. Nicely prepared and served. Dinner selections were the burgers that were on fresh homemade buns, along with chicken Parmesan sandwich chipotle chicken sandwich and the Grilled chicken tenders.

At least that's what we did order however when the meal arrived we got the chicken Parmesan pasta which was not what we ordered

First time at the Dish Cafe! Have followed them on Facebook for a while but never come to the area they're located in. We had firecracker shrimp as an appetizer- so good. Deep fried with a spicy aioli sauce. I had the chicken Parmesan sub with fries which was great. Perfectly crunchy but soft and not too chewy. My boyfriend ordered brunch- a chicken biscuit with a side of Mac n cheese which was to die for!!! Definitely will be a must stop when we are in the area.

Very nice dining experience. Atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Food was very good. I had a cup of chili, and my hubby had a cup of tomato soup for appetizer. Both very very good. The chili reminded me of my own. We split the 12 oz New York strip that came with 2 sides and it was awesome as well. Steak cooked perfectly and was very juicy and tender. A lot of scrumptious looking items on the menu.

We were staying nearby for the night, and found The Dish listed on Yelp! with good reviews. Thankfully they were open after we drove up and down and around the mountain to get there! Despite the full parking lot and it being a Friday night, we were promptly seated.

Hubby ordered his usual unsweetened iced tea with lots of lemon, and I'm glad the Saranac Ginger Beer caught my attention, because it tasted like drinking a ginger snap cookie, yum! The Chicken Parmesan Pasta with a side salad was Hubby's choice, and I picked the Cajun Shrimp over Creamy Polenta with the Edamame, Craisins

The food was yummy, had lots of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, plus a few vegan options. Fries were SOOO good. Price was very reasonable and the waitstaff was super friendly, accommodating, and attentive. I had the black bean burger with fries, my husband had the Hey Jack burger with fries. We also had some cookies to round us off and they were all yummy, but my fav was the lemon and white chocolate. Def worth trying! They were very sweet to our baby and accommodating of her needs. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. We went here on a low traffic day and the dining room was empty. Didn't have to ask for refills and our food was brought to us in around 15-20 minutes. Everything looked clean, there's only two bathrooms but the females was clean and I was surprised by the quiet paper towel dispenser. I have to mention that because I got a chuckle out of it since they normally scream.
The food was actually great! We had the bacon cheese fries for our appetizer-sans bacon (we are both pescatarian). I had the Scottish Salmon and my fiance ordered the chicken parmesan. Everything

Our day of hiking and exploring river gorge was topped off with dinner at the Dish. Could we have asked for more? NO! Absolutely not. Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere casual with a local vibe. The only problem?! we could not decide what to order because everything sounded amazing. Fresh, sustainable, local.

Steak, salmon, burgers, falafel, veggie burger, kids dishes. Homemade salad dressing. Gluten free desserts alongside bread pudding.
Just go and see For yourself. You will not be disappointed. We were there at 6:30 on a Saturday and it was very busy.

This little cafe is located in an unexpected location next to a Dollar General store. Had I not come across it on Yelp and seen the reviews, we never would have noticed it. I'm glad we checked it out!

I ordered a cobb salad with grilled chicken and lemon vinaigrette dressing. My husband had breaded chicken and pasta with a side salad. Everything was delicious, and our bill totaled to around $30 - not bad at all for a quality made-from-scratch meal.

Excellent food! Great service! Thank you Yelpsters for the recommendation. We are traveling back home to SC and decided to try this gem.
My Shrimp and Polenta was the perfect temperature and the sauce(can't remember the name) made the dish extra delicious. The broccolini was roasted with simple olive oil and salt and was very tender.
My husband ordered salmon and asparagus. We had the Toffee Bread pudding with coffee for desert. I'm still trying to figure out the recipe in order to recreate it at home!

This restaurant is in a small strip mall. While the ambiance is rather bland I love that they are locally owned and use local ingredients where possible. They had a nice selection of local beers on tap and we tried a pineapple cider which was too sweet for our taste but quite interesting. The menu has a wide array of options covering everything from sandwiches through rich entrees.

My guy, my son and I went there last weekend because it was on our list of places for a small reception, this fall. I made a reservation but the restaurant was fairly empty still at 11:30 AM which is understandable for any restaurant.
We started with the Firecracker Shrimp. It was utterly divine and amazing. My guy said, 'If the rest of the food tastes this good, we know what place to choose.'

While it did take a while, we were served one of the best meals I have had in my life. I ordered the salmon (superb cook on it), mac & cheese (house made pasta) and asparagus. It was so

This place was recommended by a local WV and we are so glad we went. Everything was soooo fresh, and the ribeye reminded my boyfriend of the meat he ate growing up from his grandparents farm. The salmon and their garden salad was also very fresh. Overall enjoyable experience and service was really good.
