Our philosophy is based on the belief that children are always learning. Whether they are being rocked to sleep, singing a song at circle time or being soothed after a fall, they are learning. Our goal is to ensure that they are learning that the world is safe, kind and full of wonder when they are with us! We believe that if children form trusting relationships with loving caregivers and are exposed to a variety of fun and enriching experiences, they will thrive!

ABC Children's Center began serving area families in 1993 with a handful of staff and children. Today, we have grown to two locations with a combined staff of over 30 teachers who care for more than 200 children. ABC is family owned and operated and our clients can rest assured that the ownership of ABC is actively involved on a daily basis with both centers to ensure the quality of the program.
Curriculum

ABC aims to meet the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of each child in a safe, nurturing environment. The curricula that we use is based on the most up-to-date research in the field of early learning and was written by leaders in early childhood education and development. As a non-denominational Christian center, Bible-based values, stories, songs, and activities are also a part of our program.

This wonderful building, custom designed by an architect experienced in childcare design, is nestled among trees in a park-like setting. Flooded with natural light and child friendly features, our clean, beautifully furnished classrooms have plenty of space for children to enjoy their daily activities and are equipped with bathrooms and child-sized sinks.
University Drive

ABC's University Drive location is minutes from Penn State University and downtown State College. The spacious, attractively furnished classrooms have large windows that allow the sunlight to pour in and offer plenty of space for children to play and move freely. A conviction ABC has always held is that smaller class sizes are more conducive to learning, nurturing relationships and a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere.
