Our bakery has always been about quality. We only use superior European ovens for a consistent bake. Our clean label initiative means we use natural preservatives like vinegar and wholesome colors like beet powder. And, whenever possible, we select locally sourced ingredients such as Real Wisconsin Cheese, Door County cherries and Michigan apples.

As first generation immigrants, Lorraine and Francis recruited several European master bakers to join them in their growing enterprise. The first two generations of the Meurer Bakery: Founders Lorraine and Francis Meurer (front) and sons Francis Jr., Dick and Bob (left to right). Founded in 1929 by Francis and Lorraine Meurer, the Meurer Bakery soon became a well know name in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
These Mini Danish are gently laminated, aged and filled with fresh made-from-scratch fillings, baked to a flakey tenderness and finished off with our signature icing pattern. Flavor selection is up to you. Order a straight pack (all one flavor) or an assorted pack (any combination of flavors) to best meet the preferences of your customers.
The French Creme Coffee Cakes start with traditional sweet dough and are smothered with streusel. Perfectly baked and filled with shelf-stable old world recipe french creme, they are then made complete with sifted confectioners sugar. Our 9 Inch Danish Coffee Cake is laminated with many layers to achieve a tender integrity, then naturally fermented to enhance flavor and provide a flaky texture.
